Educated people brought us WMD. And small scale deadly drone technology too. And BTW, AI for better or worse.

You can't educate people out of greed for power and money. Personally I think its neuroscience that will explain this human condition that transcends political and economic systems, and perhaps provide some answers.

When the gas prices go up soon in California, despite good intentions on the de-carbon side; people will move to the right. New York City is moving left -- but look at their public transportation infrastructure and rideshare. California was built on freeways (freedom?) and driving. Our electricity infrastructure cannot keep up with plug-in trucks and cars - this is a winner for the planet, but a seismic loser for liberal domination in California.

I am worried about 2026, I am educated but I don't have the answer to the short-term vs. long-term gap in light of our hidden impulses. (Some remain altruistic.)
