Biblically, there was no war between Israel and Persia. Persia inherited Judah as a colony when they conquered Babylon in 539 b.c.

Overall they were a friend of Israel. Cyrus the Persian ordered the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple and granted that any Jew who wanted to return to their homeland could. He also funded much of the effort.

The Book of Esther is about how the Persian king Xerxes rescued the Jews living in Persia when they were threatened with genocide.
