I agree. The machines sell vix automatically whenever it spikes higher, that creates a bullish thrust in the market. July 9 is such an obvious black swan date, the machines are absolutely incapable of anticipating a black swan so it just happens. The other issue is earnings, the dollar is down 10% ytd, companies will be hit with cost increases both due to dollar devaluation and tariffs. It’s funny how markets are totally unable to see what is absolutely obvious in advance because there are no human traders except those who program the trading supercomputers. There will be a double whammy on earnings.
