The TNX has been dropping for about a month. The weekly TNX suggests this may continue for another 6-8 weeks. This coincides with the debt ceiling fight end. The move down in rates is likely a function of lack of supply rather than a secular change in the overall direction of interest rates. Here's the weekly TNX:
