The "origin" of civilization is what happens after the "peak"...every 12,000 yrs.
History doesn't repeat, it rhymes. The Sun is the poet and its history's rhythm repeats with each arrival of the galactic current sheet.
The farther down the cause/effect line you go, the more variability you find.
By the end of each cycle, civilization reaches pinnacles. Population size, technology, social structure, etc.
Since the current cycle just happens to be during an interstadial period, current pinnacles are likely much higher than were reached during previous iterations going back 100,000 years to the previous interstadial.
The history of civilization likely shows that we're living in a time that is least difficult to survive on this planet.
In a way, we've won the cosmic, multi-millennial lottery.
