XIRC is a breakout above 12 1/2 (the high on 12/9/97)on good volume.

Management comfortable with street estimates for the March quarter of .12 per share (also revenue est of 62mill). Quarter is tracking according to plan with European strength making up for slowness in asia. Sales to Toshiba are going better than expected and still could keep accelerating. Sales to DEC should be material this quarter but future uncertain due to CPQ merger. Xircom reducing product costs faster than ASP decline.Channel inventories now down to about 5 weeks. This is very important because is gives the quarter much more linearity (revenues are now about 1/3 for each month of Q) which leads to much better visibility (street loves this) If XIRC hits the revenue number for the quarter, it will be on a run rate of $250m (which will approximate the current market cap)It should trade at a better price/sales than one.
