APA add takes it to full position. My fav. LT B&H.

First contact with the company, late 1970s as a broker at Merrill Lynch & office coordinator for tax shelters. They'd fly me to NYC HQ every few mo. to attend small meetings with various companies presenting deals they wanted us to sell to our hi tax bracket clients.looking for a tax dodge that would also make them money. Sold 10K of one of their prepackaged drilling programs to one of my clients & Apache sent me a letter opener with a thimble of Lt/. Sweet crude in the handle. Sitting on my desk ever since. Still there as I type this...))

Anyway APA was focused on exactly that back then. Only years later, did they expand their biz to become one of the best mid cap E&P stocks.
