I should have expected replies that were questions, as well as comments to my questions. One of the blessings (and I'll bet the Lord's reason for having me ask the question), was the fact that I should look for WHERE in the Bible, I originally saw the reference. Till then, I just remember discussing it with Mom (years ago), and remembering the Love I felt for a Lord who not only loved me more than I could comprehend, but who was Great enough to understand atoms/quarks/antigravity etc. etc., but also had time for the "tiny" things like bluebirds; giving us the ability to smell a honeysuckle; and providing for the care of those too young to understand His Love.
You're right, we ARE all accountable once we are at an age to comprehend sin and the Love He offers. And I'll leave it to Him to set that age for each young one.
I'll go look for scripture that talks about the subject--in the meantime I'd guess that there are several on this thread that will help us both.
