Watches are not investments. But with good taste and buying right you can beat inflation over the long run. If you do it right it's a type of store of value and you get to enjoy cool mechanical machines in the meantime. :-)

More importantly collecting watches has allowed me to meet and make friends with fascinating people all over the world that I might not have otherwise met, from all walks of life. Aren't you in some amateur clown club? Is there not a similar sense of community with your posse of clowns? I feel sorry for you.

Will let you in on a secret. The other week I bought a few thousand shares of GLBS. Don't worry, it's like 0.001 of that account. But wanted to test something. That turd is very illiquid. It must have taken you weeks to months to accumulate the size of position you claim. It just means you are that much more screwed if things go sideways. Don't let anyone ever tell you that you weren't a reckless risk-taker!!! :-)
