A peek inside the world of professional music. Making short list of classic rock, folks, blues & country rock songs to run buy 13 yr old gr. dau. who's poised for stardom. 14 offers after only a few days of auditions last wk in front of all the major Hollywood agents. 1. Obviously, she has to like the song. 2. Has to be in a good key for her voice. 1st was Blackbird by McCartney mentioned in prior post. Hard to transpose to different key because fingerstyle positions cover almost the entire guitar fingerboard. Challenging, but also a joy to play. We'll see Friday is it works for her. In any case, my son & dau in law who are managing her until she's under contract asked me to look at Jackson Browne & several other singer/songwriters for which I can do guitar backup on short notice. Here's the Jackson Browne mentioned above. Just have to bush up as not played it in a long time. Not a problem. May need to hire string bass player. Will leave that up to the rest of the family.
