UBI Research: TCL CSoT to soon announce plans to build a $2.8 billion 8.6-Gen inkjet printing OLED production line
TCL CSOT is gearing up to start mass production OLED panels using inkjet printing, using a 5.5-Gen production line that has limited capacity. While the company announced plans to start with OLED monitor panels, some reports suggest that it will soon also produce smartphone AMOLED panels.
TCL CSoT's first line is indeed limited in capacity, but according to UBI Research, the company is finalizing an investment plan for a full-scale 8.6-Gen production line, in Guangzhou. The total investment will be around 20 billion Yuan (or around $2.8 billion USD). This is significant less than a 8.6-Gen AMOLED line that uses standard evaporation processes.
A few months ago TCL CSoT showed its latest inkjet printed OLED panels at SID Displayweek 2025.
