Pancho, I read the report differently. It appears pretty optimistic to me. Seems to be saying "clear sailing ahead". I have been predicting a bull market till earnings reports and warnings start heading our way in April. However, 8000 is now resistance and I strongly doubt that we will break that mark. I still think we will hit 10k sometime this year, though we may finish up in the 9000's. I want to have the trend be my friend, especially with shorting so I am mainly waiting for the trend to reverse before shorting. Anyway, I always seem to do much much better going long than short. However, I believe the easy quick money has already been made in the last two months (fortunately for me, for my finances were horrible there for a while going into January). Thus I am eagerly awaiting another brief correction in April for some more buying on the dips and another quick 50% increase in my capital. I don't believe there is any better strategy for the 90's than the idiotically simple "buy on the dips". As an intellectual this seemed too simple for me and it has taken me unfortunately a long time to learn that simple is sometimes the best approach.
