Globe says "incremental opportunities" seen at Kraken

Kraken Robotics Inc (C:PNG)
Shares Issued 262,984,835
Last Close 7/8/2025 $3.36
Wednesday July 9 2025 - In the News

The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, July 9, edition that National Bank Financial analyst John Shao has reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Kraken Robotics. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Shao boosted his share target by a loonie to $4. Analysts on average target the shares at $3.60. Mr. Shao anticipates "incremental opportunities" for Kraken Robotics after the completion of its $115-million public share offering. Mr. Shao says in a note: "Kraken expects the net proceeds of the Offering will be used to support the company's growth into a scalable global prime contractor, including: (1) enhancing the ability to consider larger accretive acquisitions particularly in the U.S. and Europe given the company's strengthened global profile; (2) demonstrating a stronger balance sheet when bidding for larger governmental and commercial contracts; and (3) for general corporate purposes. Making select acquisitions to expand the product offering seems to be in Kraken's DNA." Kraken focuses on subsea intelligence through three-dimensional imaging sensors, power solutions and robotic systems. Mr. Shao says Kraken "democratizing cutting-edge technology."
