Dr. Bob: I would like to offer one reason why I do not believe in the possiblity of a Q3 loss such as you suggest. Just last month, both analysts who follow IOMG downgraded earnings estimates for Q3.

Now, why do you suppose that happened? I'll give you my guess (and it is ONLY a guess).

Iomega saw that they were not going to make the then-current estimates. So one day, any analyst gets a anonymous phone call, of a type he is used to getting from every company he follows. The voice on the phone calmly tells him that his estimates for IOMG are too high, and points out his mistake about sales, revenue, reserves, or whatever. The analyst then goes over his numbers again and comes up with a new estimate which he releases. The second analyst either gets his own anonymous call, or discusses the discrepency with the first analyst.

Please don't accuse me of being paranoid. I don't think there are people out to get me, or anything like that. I just think that Wall Street is an "old boys" network.
