His next rig should be able to handle the current and hopefully next version of MSFS but it will be his choice to switch back from X-Plane.

Funny side note, I originally put a very competent AMD GPU into the refurbished workstation, in terms of value for performance. And this is back when he was still using the old MSFS. It would never play nice with his 3rd party add-on, had no time to debug myself, and the 3rd party customer support was lacking.

So I bought back the AMD card from him, found him a deal on Nvidia GTX 1080 card and installed it for him. It worked great. Then he later switched to X-Plane 11 and never a problem since. :-) Summer 2017?

The AMD card at the time turned out to be quite efficient at mining Ether (ETH), I owned it but wasn't mining it so sold the GPU for a few bucks more than I paid 8 months earlier, haha.
