Jordan Smart - Apple Don't Fall Jordan Smart Wins 2023 Gems In The Rough Contest – Reveals Tour Dates With Tommy Prine Out of more than 1,000 submissions from around the world on April 17th, Jordan Smart was named winner of the 2023 Gems In the Rough contest, hosted by popular YouTube channel GemsOnVHS. Following the release of his 2020 single “Song For Prine”, an homage to the late great songwriter John Prine, Jordan Smart was unsure of whether he’d have much of a future making music for a living. Life had caught up to him, not only with the great responsibility of being a father, but the thick of the pandemic and civil unrest seemed to have taken the metephorical wind right out of the young songwriter’s sails. Fast forward to 2023 – and so far it has been quite a year for Jordan Smart. After opening a memorable show for Tommy Prine at The Southgate House in Newport, KY, now Smart received an offer to join Prine on tour for almost 40 US dates, spanning from June to October.
