This Chinese company is the world leader in LiDAR sensor sales. Both Ouster and Velodyne have accused and sued Hesai for patent infringement with Velodyn winning and Ouster's suit somewhere in limbo.

The DoD list is accompanied by a DOT list banning Hesai sensors. They really are a national security risk with LiDAR's incredible mapping ability. I'm not sure where Hesai's stands re the EU but would like to see their Nas listing challenged due to accounting questions as well as government subsidization issues.

Access to US financial markets needs to have compliance with US laws.

The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled that the Defense Department's finding that Hesai contributes "to the Chinese defense industrial base" is supported by substantial evidence reflecting lidar's military application, national security concerns around Chinese lidar makers and Hesai's cooperation with Chinese agencies.>>
