In a recent development in Michael Mann's defamation case, the court has ordered him to pay over $477,000 in attorney's fees to the National Review and Competitive Enterprise Institute, despite winning a previous verdict against two bloggers. This decision follows sanctions against Mann and his legal team for "bad-faith trial misconduct". The judge found that Mann's legal team presented misleading information regarding grant funding data during the trial, which led to the sanctions and reduced the initial $1 million verdict against Mark Steyn to $5,000, according to court records.
