SPD has to be good enough more than PDLC is good enough to go into these 'mass market' vehicles. I'm sure Gauzy as the sole supplier of SPD, would love market dominance with SPD alone and their own ability to set margins. But that's not the state of SPD pull these days.

Caddy uses SPD like every other user of SPD in a very expensive car. If corvette uses it, then it will be as close to a 'mass market' car as SPD has currently.

Gauzy has their views on market segmentation, upsell/downsell, good better best product marketing.

It may be why after 17 years of talking sunroofs (and t-oled, e-ink lawsuits, hanamack like retrofits, airlines, cruise ships, carousels etc) Joe is back to talking about SPD architectural retrofit.

High Temp PDLC was a bigger threat than EC ever was.
