It's not even close to the same with banks. If bad guys kidnap some dude with a big bank account, how will they get the untraceable money out of his account?

With crypto you just force the dude to tell you his keys, and voila, you've got their crypto. No one or entity is involved in the theft, just you and him. With banks, well, they gotta be open (!!), you gotta order an outbound wire, wait a few days, hope it goes through despite the fact that the account holder is missing and no one in his family knows where he is, perhaps his absence has been reported to the coppers, and the outbound wire transaction is well documented. Whoever receives the stolen funds is going to have some explaining to do.

Crypto theft is nothing like bank theft.
