Benny,

>>> What do you mean by partner? Hardware? Software? Project?

HW, SW and project.

>>> If they were to partner with somebody who would you like?

I will refrain from comment as to who I would like to see on this project because I work for one of IBM competitors, but here are my impressions of IBM's capabilities. I welcome other viewpoints

HW -- I'm definitely not hardware guy, but from what little I know, IBM mainframes are a stable and appropriate technology for Genesis.

SW -- I know a little more here. I'm not convinced OO technology is right here. And, I know IBM's Small Talk OO language and its support tools are not a leader in the market.

Project -- My most knowledgeable area. I have first hand seen what IBM can do in project planning, execution and management. And from what I've seen it ain't pretty. I'm sure that what I've seen is a small percentage of IBM's project portfolio, but the projects have been overpromised, never responsibly planned and in the end over budget and under delivered. Many heads rolled.

All the above is MHO.
