And there's BS that AOL is 'immune to Asia'

Companies that aren't will lay off people who are AOL subs.
Ditto suppliers to those companies in face of their cost-cutting.
And so on throughout many food chains.

Then there's businesses that sell via AOL and the Internet goods
that are subject to Asian ills -- be they import pressure or
slackening of export demand. Stuff like clothing, toys, PC stuff.
It doesn't matter that US demand is OK. A squeeze from anywhere
forces cutting of costs.

Notion that there are islands of isolation is crap.
