I came across a rare live variation of “Does It Really Happen?” from the 1980 Drama tour in Hartford. Unlike the studio version, which ends with Chris Squire’s powerful bass solo, this performance features a soaring Steve Howe outro guitar solo (around the 8-9 minute mark)—something only heard during a few early shows on that tour.

This track also happens to have one of my favorite Chris Squire bass lines—it’s relentless, melodic, and drives the entire song from start to finish. Hearing it live, with Howe’s solo added on top, makes this version especially exciting. I wish the video portion was better, it's only a slideshow.
