Extreme Temperature Diary- Sunday July 20th, 2025/Main Topic: Update of NCEI French Record Count Data – Guy On Climate

Dear Diary. A couple of weeks ago I finished updating my data files coming from the National Center for Environmental Information from France. Every European Country has experienced multiple head waves during the 2020s due to climate change including France. Record temperature reports coming from that country have spiked the following charts:

Despite added record warmth, all-time record heat during the 2020s lags behind that of the 2000s mainly because of the gargantuan 2003 heatwave:

If you would like to see any more French charts as well as newly added yearly temperature anomaly data, peruse these websites:

I update international files about once every two years. We will see how these French charts look by 2027…and my guess is that they will be skewed even more towards warmth.

Here are more “ET’s” recorded from around the planet the last couple of days, their consequences, and some extreme temperature outlooks, as well as any extreme precipitation reports:

Seems most information on #Climate is falling on deaf ears and apathetic minds #WaterWars WILL MAKE IT REAL However, #Prevention IS AN OPTION 🔥🔥🔥 #1planet1chance #BlueEarth

New study highlighted in @katharinehayhoe.com's LinkedIn NL “found that just experiencing extreme weather wasn’t enough to increase people’s support for climate policies. What did make a difference? Understanding that climate change played a role in making the event worse.” buff.ly/dyJJiF4
