It is different for them, because there was a forceful breach of the Capitol building and the DOJ convinced a jury in DC (which wasn't hard to do) that it was intended to disrupt an official proceeding. Seditious conspiracy only requires a conspiracy to " to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States", not just a plot to overthrow the government.

Not even a hard set of facts to distinguish.
