Was talking a bit about Murphy Oils exceptional offshore oil acreage portfolio earlier today. So punched MUR into the website & it calculated the stock's intrinsic value at $52.53/sh.

Todays closing price $26.08. That works for me. Especially considering cyclical stocks move from undervaluation at troughs o overvaluation at peak cycle. So, we could easily see the 70s

As 81, no assurance I'll be around to celebrate that. OTOH, the grand kids will enjoy learning from their Dad about a side of grandpa they were too young to understand. But the legacy I leave ea. will come with guidance from him about how it was done & the basics of sound wealth management in context of the world in which they find themselves.

Some are already showing, perceptiveness & good judgement. Others, not so much. Such is life....)))
