Now this would provide a reason for the markets to sell off:

Six weeks ago, financial and geopolitical cycle analyst Martin Armstrong was signaling a major turn toward war. Now, Armstrong says, "The chances of war with a nuclear exchange are at 100%. Plan on it—this is coming. Starting in August, this whole situation is going to escalate."
