OK, so you think Tesla's manufacturing business isn't worth much and you're putting your faith in the ability of Tesla to catch up in autonomous systems. The trouble for Musk is he needs his army of good software engineers. A rising stock price, adding value to options, and the sense the company is in the vanguard are two things that might keep them. Neither is clear at this time.
