There are ways around it but almost impossible for one person in one place. Cannot say more than that.

The interesting thing now, imo, and I think even you may have posted about it is Palantir as the new bogeyman of surveillance, which is also somewhat laughable. They just happen to be the new kid on the block, and that threatens the status quo. Oracle, Microsoft, Google, and Amazon all have very large, lucrative government contracts related to national security and defense, and have for many years, some of which they're not even allowed to talk about. How do you like them apples? :-)

Perhaps there's too many smartphone zombies to care, I don't know. And definitely not sanguine about how its trending but such is life. Please tell your younger relatives to learn critical skills. CPR, Nursing, Farming, Machining, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Welding, Carpentry, Masonry, Blacksmithing, Hunting, Fishing, Etc., Etc., Etc.

Obviously one person doesn't have to acquire all of those skills but working together as a unit they should have a fighting chance in any situation the universe throws at them! fwiw.
