ERIC===>> Your personal EV experience may be great — and that’s fine — but let’s not pretend the global rollout is without serious friction.

Hertz isn’t some fringe outfit. They bet big on electrification, buying over 300,000 EVs from Tesla, GM, and Polestar. After getting burned by massive repair costs, plunging resale values, and underwhelming demand, they dumped 30,000 EVs and ate a $440 million loss. That’s not exactly a vote of confidence.

"Excellence in engineering" is meaningless if the economics don’t work at scale. EVs are not yet the silver bullet — especially for fleet operators and average drivers who don't live in ideal charging scenarios.

You want to celebrate your at-home charging and “unstoppable” optimism? Great. But don’t pretend like it’s already a universal win — the facts on the ground say otherwise.
