One would think that Eric Bana and Sam Neill in lead roles could make even a mediocre series watchable. Not so. Netflix "Untamed" has a decent premise and slowly unfolding plot, but the writing and the direction are.... Wooden, leaden, sluggish, molasses, dull.....does that convey the right sense? I'm sure Bana and Neill were cringing if/when they saw the dailies. But hey, that's what the director wanted. I bailed a little more than halfway through when the pace failed to pick up. I don't begrudge great actors getting a fat paycheck for walking through a bad production, but having to watch it all is something else entirely.
