Back then QCOM's AI PC was getting all hyped up - so investors were looking at the future too optimistically. Right now, they're looking at it negatively because they can't keep their minds off Qualcomm losing the Apple modem revenue. It's all about perceptions of the future. And, in this case, neither one were / are very accurate. Qualcomm is doing a good job at diversifying and shielding themselves from the decline in Apple revenue.
