Thanks. I hadn't realised that the Comex was NY-based, while the LME was London-based. In my ignorance, I'm still surprised that such a large price difference can exist for a metal in two different places. I guess it's a clear example of the effect of a tariff (an expected tariff, in this case.) The prices on the two markets are now about the same.

The effect on copper producers is not clear. The price of IVN had a big drop on May 26, and since then it has hardly moved, in fact the result of the felon's tariff games seems to have been suppression of IVN's volatility.
