Elroy- I did not claim to know in this case. I said it was possible. To say that this doesn't happen is equally problematic. Can you prove it doesn't happen? Sometimes it can just be the behavior of the herd. "Get out first, ask questions later" memes like this create a pattern that large players can easily take advantage of in the markets.

I asked Gemini for historical evidence of whether short attacks exists in the stock market. "These attacks involve short sellers releasing negative reports to drive down a company's stock price for profit. Notable examples include Hindenburg Research's reports on the Adani Group and Muddy Waters' attack on Luckin Coffee."
