That's the short bet. So far we've only seen replacement of the cheapest Apple modems. What seems key now is how fast Apple can update their C1 to replace the modems in their higher prices handsets. That's a bit harder than just popping in their existing C1 modem. How inferior is the C1 modem compared with the X75? Once it's comparable to the X75 Qualcomm will likely be peddling an X90 (ie still 2 generations higher). Little is published today as to this situation. The bottom line is this being a technical battle. Marketing and hiding the truth can have an effect be it's hard to sustain over reality. We're in The Timing Zone.
