Off topic: About posting elsewhere...
Think of this as being a public DropBox, not a social media platform where I'm trying to build an audience,
as SI certainly is not what it was back in the day, when we had posters like Dr. Michael Bury, who later went
on to fame via "the Big Short", or Mr. Pink, aka Dan Loeb, who's now a well-known, billionaire hedge fund
manager with a $50 million penthouse in Manhattan who runs 3rd Point LLC. (If only my "Got MEXP?"
trade would have worked out... Ahhh, the old days of "Strictly Drilling." )
I've been here on SI for over 27 years, with a few absences. So have many of you.
SI has become like a digital Cheers... The local sports bar, VFW, gym, or private golf club
that you've been a member of for much of your adult life, where you can freely say what you
think to other members, without worry about offending the general public, or polite company.
You can say things in the back room, playing cards at the country club after a round of golf with
your buddies, that you wouldn't while out eating dinner publicly at your favorite local steak house,
or around the water cooler at work etc.
That being said, you might be surprised by the non-members who come here regularly to "read only."
Anyway, thanks for putting up with my rants for twenty-plus years, sadly, as we've all come to know,
the shit that we were all warning about for years has hit the fan, in fact, the fan has stopped working,
hence, the harder more serious and urgent tone of late.
The curtain has been pulled back to expose the great and powerful Oz; now, the only question is:
Are we willing to confront the Wizard and take our country back?
