You could be right, of course. But over other periods of time, BTC has traded like a leveraged growth stock. I'm not at all confident that it will be robust in the face of economic collapse. (Right now we may have a devalued dollar, but we are very clearly NOT in economic collapse.)

I don't have a good sense of whether it will or won't hold up in that scenario.
