Chinese Satellite Pulverizes Starlink with a 2-Watt Laser from 36,000 KM Above Earth
I think this is a misstatement. Much of Starlink's data is transmitted by laser. But their system is a lot busier than China's test apparatus. And Starlink is moving a ton of data.

Having millions of uses versus two, even by laser, makes a difference!
