I have found that stocks go up initially after the announcement of
a split. Then there is a lull but another round of strong buying on the day before
the day of the split.

Give me your thoughts on the following (if you follow them): INTC, CPQ,
CSCO, HWP, SOX, MRK. I am looking for good news on MRK (I expect an announcement
of a split in the near future).
