the licensing issue has been settled for a long time now.... AAPL lost in glorious fashion... and so did the regulators it hoodwinked

I think AAPL will have to extend its contract for thin modems.... it just cannot risk a catastrophic failure in the every increasingly fast paced connected world... but I think this is where the real opportunity is to show results .... with and without AAPL

One last thing - AAPL cannot sell a phone without a license with QCOM - they will need to extend that...no one talks about it... but they will need it - because backwards compatibility requires QCOM.....

The current royalty was capped at a phone price of $400 - but the price of the phone has more than doubled since..... the rate may not go up.... but the cap certainly will
