From what I am reading Tesla no longer has a technological edge in EVs.

OMG. You must be reading Electrek.

- 4680s still beat out most production cells, all things considered. That remains a fact.
- Self driving. No one is close.

- Powertrain. A couple mfrs have made progress but still no one has caught up.
- Supercharger network.
- Software (generally), and OTA updates as well as the quality of "infotainment" systems.
- Gigacasting and vertically integrated manufacturing.
- Direct-to-consumer sales eliminating a huge cost component other mfrs face in dealerships.
- Most aggressive leadership when it comes to manufacturing technology.
- Fewer barriers to innovation versus other mfrs.
- Less sunk costs than major manufacturers, which provides TSLA with greater flexibility.

Now which manufacturers does Tesla not have an edge against?
