They have NOT reported their 3rd quarter earnings yet. This quarter is not what really matters though - Robert Faulkner has already said they WILL MISS his sales target for the 3rd quarter because they had to wait for FDA approval and resolve the FDA warning letter on labelling. Both issues are now behind VIDA and their revenues and earnings are supposed to mushroom in the emerging urology market; they are very well positioned as a niche player. They have the best product (TUNA) and it has been praised for its efficacy, safety, and cost advantage over the inferior alternative of TURP. TUNA will become the standard--people are fixated on the near-term, namely this quarter, instead of keeping their eye on the long-term (this is common in Wall Street).
I think it is a great buy and if it were to drop more I may buy even more; perhaps 250 more on top of 500 already. I bought at 13 and nothing fundamental has changed-in reality, the situation is better. People sold off on the "news" which was widely expected but they might be missing a big run. I am still a major bull on the stock and see it moving much higher in 6-12 months. Finally, Faulkner is a very solid analyst at H&Q and has made several great calls-this looks to be another. I have no guarantee for you here-if I could do that I would retire-but I am quite confident. Keep your eye on the ball-don't let gyrations distort your reasoning in analyzing ANY investment. Take care.
