I wouldn't say that trolls win (which is true in a narrow sense, but that is not the only case).

I'd say that the promises made were broken or rather expectations were unmet, therefore nobody wants to hear the same old story again.

Ronny Chieng eloquently explains the source of the problem and accurately describes the deindustrialization of the U.S. via its global dollar structure better than most macro analysts below. He has a non-political solution for it.
