Many Americans stand with Canada and are rooting for them as moral leaders in this time of need for moral clarity.

And I am very happy to see how many countries are signing huge deals with Canada. This bodes well for their future. Countries with advanced technology like the EU, South Korea and Japan are making deals marrying their technology with Canada's resources and stable fair minded free trade government.

As well it is easy to see how well the governments of the western democracies are working with Canada.

1) Germany: is planning to step into Canada big time, starting with a new 7 billion battery plant that will employ 3,000 workers.

2) Denmark: and Canada are planning to become a world power in building wind power using Denmarks technology and Canada's resources.

3) South Korea gets first LNG shipment and had offered a 20 billion deal to build new submarines for Canada with maintenance in Canada.

4) EU: CETA eliminates almost all tariffs on goods traded between the EU and Canada. According to the European Commission, this has led to substantial savings for exporters and increased market access for both sides.

5 Mexico: For the first time Canada imported more cars from Mexico than the US. Great relations between the two leaders.

AI Overview

Volkswagen, a German automaker, is building a new battery plant in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. This project is part of a larger initiative by Volkswagen to expand its battery production capacity in North America.

The plant, which will be operated by PowerCo SE, Volkswagen's battery company, is expected to cost $7 billion overall and will employ 3,000 people. It will produce enough batteries annually to support one million vehicles. Canada and Ontario are also providing significant financial support, including tax credits and grants, to help offset incentives offered by the United States.

The St. Thomas plant will be Volkswagen's second major battery operation outside of Europe. It will be a key part of the company's strategy to become a global player in the battery business and support the transition to electric mobility. The plant is expected to be a significant boost to the Canadian economy and the electric vehicle supply chain.
