Buying shares in companies whose products and services one uses and loves oneself, and whose growth prospects seem compelling (the Lynch approach)."

Too strict for me. I like and use: Buying shares in companies whose products or services one uses repeatedly. Buy all, every one. Regardless of growth prospects. Goal: Hold as long as you use the product/services (but sometimes I do exit.)

In this package some stocks will not work out. Otoh, the ones that do, make up for it. At least in my experience.

About being easiest and best (from o.p.): Once the stock of the product/service is recognized (sometimes it's not recognized), and put into the fold, it's been easy for me to hold on. No claim by me it's the best method among all that I use or are being discussed here.

Recent: Tracking position in ROKU. Very late here. Passed on CHD recently when it hit lows. Still such an expensive stock (I use oxyclean in my wash every week.)
