Remember when Elon "demonstrated" a battery-swap, but it turned out it was only theater? Nio now has more than 3,000 swapping stations running in China. CATL plans to build 1,000 swapping stations for passenger vehicles this year in China before expanding the network to about 10,000 by 2028 to serve 1mn cars each day, according to the company. It is also investing in battery-swapping systems for heavy trucks.
