The Processors that Google useses for the pixels are just Exynos SoCs with some small modifications. With that they use Samsungs Shannon baseband which comes on the Exynos SoC.

From some rumors internally with the Pixel team from folks I chat with they are not happy with the modem performance. Hopefully they start shopping around.
