Glad to hear the PC arrived and that you are getting more help than you need. Be really careful, you might lose that PC and inherit one of the older castaways. "But Daaaad, I really need a faster system. You wouldn;t want me to fail in school, would you???"
Helping you pick out your system is giving me an itch for the 333MHz model that just hit the streets. Anyone wanna buy a 200MHz system Cheap complete with 17" monitor???<GGG>

BTW-My PCs are named after the stock markets or Indices. We Have NYSE, Nasdaq, OEX, and AMEX. We don't what to call the next one but SPOOS is starting to look real good. With the addition of the 5th or 6th system, eveyone has their own PC except for our granddaughter. Of course my 10 yr old has informed me she is the only one with a 486 and not a Pentium. Does she know the difference in perfromance?? not on you life. She knows she is being slighted because the 14 yr old taunts her about it. The kid only uses it for Barbie, reading, math and Encarta. It's not as if she is into the important stuff like Falcon 3.0, Mech Warrior, Sim City, or the Dominion Pack of the Red Alert Conquer and ...(Mayhem??). Whatever!!!
BTW-they now have the damn Flex technology modems as the answer to the competing standards. I REFUSE to buy another modem. |
