Dee Jay, I think the management of MRVC is quite shrewd and will make the Fibronics acquisition go quite a bit further dollar-per-dollar than the recent Ascend/Netstar acquistion.

Whereas I'm sure Ascend "got more" (for example, a gallium arsenide based switch vs. Fibronics which is likely based on silicon), they paid handsomely for it.

I'm still curious as to exactly what MRVC is going to do with the acquired in-process technology. So far, I've heard mostly criticism about stock dilution, and about Fibronics being troubled. I've heard very little praise for MRVC going into the enterprise backbone biz...and no mention of what the possibilities are if they apply the "deterministic algorithm" to the newly acquired backplane...what does it mean? We won't know until we see product announcements; this algorithm has a patent applied for.

One thing for sure, MRVC is looking like an even bigger small networking company. Look at the market cap (around 450 mil) compared to just about anyone else
