I know your position Rat, that climate change is “abnormal” and requires mass taxation, wealth confiscation, and centralized control, isn’t science, it’s ideology. It’s a Marxist-style redistribution scheme dressed up as environmental concern.
The reality is climate change has been happening for millions of years, ice ages, warm periods, droughts, floods, all without human involvement. To declare that “this is the first time” is historically and geologically false. What is new is the political movement turning climate into a religion, where taxation is the tithe and politicized science is the priesthood.
The only rational way to deal with climate variability is adaptation, just as humans have always done. We adapt our farming, our infrastructure, our energy systems, and our way of life to changing conditions. This doesn’t require confiscating wealth or handing over control of our economies to bureaucrats.
There is nothing to “solve,” because climate has never been static. The real danger isn’t weather or climate, the real danger is exploitation of fear to justify centralized power, endless taxes, and erosion of individual freedoms. |
